Clark Residence
LOCATION: SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA.
This house built in the mid 1980s at the base of Bishop’s Peak was no longer functioning for its young, vibrant family. It was decided that some walls needed to come down to reconfiguration the floor plan to meet the family’s lifestyle and to utilize the entire house. The client loves living with the view of the Peak and wanted to expand the view potential to Bishop’s Peak from the main living spaces. Exterior doors and transoms were expanded, and the dining area relocated to create the “hub of grub”. A new metal roof, new entry canopy, and a smooth exterior plaster contemporize the residence. Through a true collaboration between the owner, architect, interior designer, and contractor, this house was reinvigorated to meet the needs of a young family living in the 21st century.
