PETER DANCIART
Peter's original dream was to become a lion tamer... but he ultimately decided that architecture was a much less dangerous destiny. As commonplace as it may sound, Peter’s interest in design and construction began by playing with LEGOs and drawing houses as a child.
He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree cum laude from the University of Arizona in 1995. While in the Sonoran Desert, he gained a deep appreciation for the interaction between the natural and built environments which sparked his interest in sustainability and regionalism. A semester abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark afforded Peter the ability to see many of the old and new architectural treasures of Europe. To this day, his work is still heavily influenced by the warm modernism of Scandinavia.
In the intervening 29 years within the architectural profession, Peter has practiced both locally and in the San Francisco Bay Area—strengthening his attention to detail, agency, consultant coordination, and client interaction. He enjoys assisting the client in bringing their vision into reality through a cooperative, integrated design approach.
